The Claw

My dystonia is often referred to as the alien by family and friends. For those of you who have seen Toy Story, you will be able to understand how amusing the following was. Over the last few evenings the alien, when it has decided to spasm, has looked more and more like a claw. We instantly made the link to the aliens in Toy Story. This is now the image I have in my head of my dystonia.

I'm 27 years old, a mother, author, partner and spoonie. I suffer from Dystonia,POTS, EDS, Osteoarthritis and Lyme Disease. I have set up my blog to help spread awareness and bring light to this condition. This blog will be full of all my experiences that happen during my dystonia and chronic illness journey, from natterings, musings, moans, laughs, highs and lows. :-) It will be a little bit of everything

  1. I just wanted to leave a quick message to say that my friends and I refer to my Dystonia as the claw from toy story. I literally do have claw like fingers from deformities in my hands, and giving lightness to it (by referring to it as the claw) makes it a little easier to deal with.
